There is a "Senior News" board in the CHHS Main Office that contains all new scholarship information and information from specific colleges.  This board is updated as the information is received in the office.  All seniors are encouraged to check the board at least weekly.  Parents are also invited to check out the board during office hours.  Our counselors are always willing to assist students in applying for scholarships, but the students MUST take the initiative to search for scholarships for which the student meets the qualifications.

GPA Conversion Information:

If you are applying for a scholarship that requires a GPA on a 4.0 scale, there is a conversion chart available on the Senior News Board.  To convert, take your grade in each class on the 100 point scale, replace it with the corresponding number on the 4.0 scale.  Then, total the converted numbers and divide by the number of classes you are including.  The resulting figure is your GPA on the 4.0 scale.

If the scholarship indicates only core subjects should be included, you only include your grades from each of your math, science, English and  social studies classes and any foreign language courses.
