Good morning, everyone.  Welcome to the week of April 23-27, 2018 at CHHS, where we are Trojans committed to success.


All students who are currently on a sports team or planning on trying out for one next school year must participate in our summer workout and conditioning program that will start June 4th, 2018. A current physical must be on hand with Coach McCoy. See the head coach of the team you are interested in playing for.


There will be a mandatory Art Guild and National Art Honor Society meeting on Wednesday, April 25th immediately after school in Mrs. Walden's room. We will be discussing and preparing materials for the community service project.


Applications for the Betty Wagoner Memorial Scholarship are in the Media Center. Any senior interested in applying for the scholarship should pick up an application and return it by end of school on Wednesday, April 25th.


Are you ready for a day of fun outside of the classroom? JROTC will be hosting its first CHHS Field Day on April 27, 2018. This is an ALL Day FREE event for all CHHS students to show of their skills and have some fun! Grade level tournaments will be 3 on 3 basketball and Kickball!

Other Activities include: Flag football, Tug-a-war, Dizzy bag, Egg Carry Race, and "Whose Got Talent." The events are grade level specific meaning your team should only consist of members from your grade level. Create your teams and sign up today! The sign-up sheet for each event will be posted in the front office. The last day to register your team to participate in the tournaments is April 24th. The 2018 CHHS JROTC Field Day grade level winner will be announced at the end of the day and will be deemed the 2017-2018 School Champions! The Trojan Corner is selling CHHS Field Day shirts. They are Comfort Colors sleeveless tanks and they can be worn to the field day event on April 27th. Stop by the office or The Trojan Corner to pick up an order form. Forms have also been emailed to you. Payment due by Monday, April 16th 1st block.


Current members of Mu Alpha Theta need to pay their $10 dues by Tuesday April 24th. If any senior members would like to order a cord, please bring $5. All Mu Alpha Theta dues are to be brought to Mrs. Phillips.


The CHHS Interact Club is sponsoring a 5K Color Fun Run on Saturday, April 28th. Registration fee is $20 for ages 13 and up and $10 for 12 and below. Registration forms are in the main office.


Students, if you owe money in the cafeteria, you need to pay your bill as soon as possible. All accounts must be paid before school is out. Any senior student account must be paid before Class Night.


Reminder: CHHS offers tutoring services on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 until 5:00 in the media center. For more information, stop by the media center.
